Thank you for visiting my website, home to a small selection of my photographs. I hope you enjoy the images as much as I did taking them.
I am based in Melkbosstrand, South Africa and I have been a keen amateur photographer for many years. I am an active member of the Tygerberg Photographic Society as well as a member of the Photographic Society of South Africa (PSSA).
The site, like my photography, is for the fun of doing it as well as being somewhere family and friends can “drop in” to see what I’ve been up to.
Photography is a passion, way of life and a hobby all rolled into one for me. Through the lens, I learn more about myself and the world around me. God gave me photography so that I could pray with my eyes!
The galleries in my website will give you an idea of my passion for photography.
If you have any interests or enquiries in my photos, please do so using the “Contact Me” page.
Please revisit as I will add new images on a regular basis.
When you have acquired a taste for the dust,
and the scent of our first rain,
You’re hooked for life on Africa,
and you’ll not be right again.
Until you can watch the setting moon
and hear the jackals bark,
And know they are around you
waiting in the dark.
When you long to see the elephants
or hear the coucal’s song,
When the moonrise sets your blood on fire,
then you’ve been away too long.
It is time to cut the traces loose,
and let your heart go free,
where your spirit yearns to be.
Beyond that far horizon
Africa is waiting – come!
Since you have touched the open sky
And learned to love the rustling grass
and the wild fish eagle’s cry.
You’ll always hunger for the bush;
for the lion’s rasping roar,
To camp at least beneath the stars
and to be at peace once more.
